Hey guys! I am extremely green here... a couple years on a three-wheeler back in 85´ and just going for MC safety course next weekend...no license yet. I need some advice from someone not trying to sell me something, I hope you guys understand. Is looking at the HD 883 sportser for a first bike a good idea or is there some other way I should be going. I keep getting mixed advice..."You should buy the biggest bike you can afford, nothing smaller than a 800, start with a 250, bigger bikes are easier to ride on the road and the wind won´t whip you around, start small and work your way up", man I am so confused. I like the harley name, look and god forbid I would need to sell it I know they keep their value. I would like to start new, because with all the other new things you are trying to learn worrying about what might be going out on your bike shouldn´t be one of them (I think). I am a good-sized guy 5´11" 270lbs, I don´t want to be having to get another bike in a year, but would if it´s best to start small...Thanks in advance for the advice -JO |
