Hey folks. I have been out of the loop for about fifteen years due to a dispute between my bike and a pickemup truck that left me in a wheel chair for about three years with a shattered femur. I stayed busy in the meanwhile and as a result of that I now have an eleven year old daughter named Laney. My health and finances have improved and my old addiction with two wheels is once again calling me. I donĀ“t want to do the 24/7 LRRL thing anymore because I actually like being a father more than a biker. Anyway to the point. I am thinking about a sportster. I cannot make up my mind if I want a new 883 or a older 1200. Which ever way I go, I will want to monkey around with the performance aspect of the bike. I need to know if I can reliably bring up the 883 to the 1200 in displacement which will allow me to start form scratch with a new zero miles bike or if it would be better to start with a low mileage 1200 and go from there. Either way, less tax and license I will be starting with limited funds of about 6/7000 to start off with. Any good advice on the way would be much appreciated, thanks! |
