The main reason I bought an 883R instead of a 1200 is that they both use the same bottom end and with 883 cc´s instead of 1200 it is bullet proof.......If you weigh 135 lbs like I do and ride mostly single w/o a chainbreaker on the back.....883 is enough and gets better gas mileage too.
