I own one of these machines in original order. I really enjoy it. However I have some reservations as follows: 1) The original US handlebars are awful & are only tenable with a full screen, which I have fitted. 2) Unlike the twins, these triples will ´wet sump´ when stood for several weeks. This makes them difficult to start. I have overcome this with a replacement RJ Williams sump plate with a drain plug. Thence I can drain the sump before starting. 3) Copious flooding of carbs is needed to start it, + choke, from cold. It even needs two carbs flooded from hot to get a start. 4) If you are still running points as I am beware of japanese copies which are almost a garantee of a breakdown. |
