I think you will be ok on the bike. It will take a little getting used to shifting on the right side but other than that no problem.If you are use to riding the four speed tranny will seem like it´s begging for a fifth gear.It won´t stop like a newer bike but you will get used to that too. I have a ´73 sporty and I just rebuit the engine and it cost me over $3500.00 I have so much money in my bike it not even funny. If you have someone to help you with the work I say buy it if that´s all it needs.If you need parts check out Texas Iron they have a good selection for sportsters. Good Luck! |
