Strange smoking Issue

Okay, so I just replaced the rings on my bike. Unfortunately I only did one side because I wasnt even thinking. So...my issue is that Ive got smoke pouring out of the breather tube, but not the exhaust. I would normally think its obviously the rings, but I tested my compression and its about 145 on each cylinder. The longer I ride the bike, the more smoke pours out and the power starts fading. Im also hearing a strange knocking sound in the upper part of the engine. Let me know if anyone has any solutions. Thanks
