engine cuts out goining up hills

engine cuts out goining up hills

I just bought a 1973 cb350 twin, and it runs great starts right up. But when you start going up a hill the motor wants to cut out. It will get you to the top but you have to go down to 2ng gear and creep up it. could this be a float problem?
