Bought a ´73 CB500 yesterday. Needs restoring |

I spotted a CB500 on Craigslist yesterday for $75. I rushed over to see it and ended up rolling it into my van and taking it home. I know I am looking at a lot of restoration. I have wanted a cheap bike to tinker on, but I am not sure if this is the one. I am looking at a lot of expense, and I am not sure if I´d end up spending more than the bike would end up being worth in the long run. The mileage reads 24K. The chain is shot. The carbs (he said have been overhauled) are not installed. They have been kept in a plastic bag. Time to make some tough choices. Maybe I´ll get it running and then pass it on to the next guy. |
