Red speed indicator light

I have been looking in online manuals and i cannot seem to find what the red speed indicator light means. Most of the indicator lights are self explanatory but there is a red light labeled speed and i cant figure that one out. It comes on when i go around 60 miles an hour. I know on most bikes the red light is an oil indicator light and on newer bikes it is check engine.
