Collapsed needle rollers

Hello all,
I have had my daytona for about a year 2 thirds of that it has been in storage. I have put it on the road recently and covered 270 miles. Now a set of needle rollers have decided to retire inside the clutch housing causing damage to some of the gears. Has anyone had a similar problem? The motorcycle shop has quoted £800 to £1000 for repair. Has anybody got engine parts for sale.
Cheers.
