| Hi ive recently bought a 1992 Zephyr 550 The man who owned it 4 years hasnt used it for about 18 months and its stood in his cold and abit damp garage. He asured me it was a runner. Ive managed to clean it up quite nice after many hours Ive had to remove the laquar of the wheels as the damp had got under it. anyway It now looks not bad. After charging the battery. The moment of truth Yes it started and runs. Reves abit high on chock. But runs and rides ok. Now yhe problem On tickover The engine Rattles and Chatters what appears to be coming from the Clutch or gearbox) What is it and can it be sorted. It looks a lovely bike has good tyres brakes etc. Ive insured it and just waiting for the weather to brake to be able to take it for mot. Im based in the midlands Tamworth infact. If its not to much money to sort i would be more than interested. Regards Steve |
