I have a 1995 fzr 1000 with 16000 mi. on it. I just had the motor rebuilt (rist pins, one piston, all bearings, two connecting rods, new crank, all piston rings, honed sleeves, lapped valves, new valve seals, ect.). The problem was a starvation of oil from riding wheelies for prolonged periods of time. My mechanic says he may be able to put a custom oil pan in to prevent the starvation problem, but the exup system is in the way. I told him after I break the rebuilt motor in, I would like to look into it a little more. I have thought about keeping two wheels on the ground, but I know thats not going to happen. Has anyone experimented in different oil pan set ups to prevent oil starvation when the bike is close to 12 o´clock? any suggestions besides keeping the front wheel down would really be appreciated. I love this bike and would hate to lose it because of this problem.
