OK so I´ve just performed the first oil and filter change and checked the handbook for oil capacity.
It reads 3.75 litres.
I fill 3.75 litres and its not registering on the dip-stick.
I chuck in the remainder of the 4 Litre can. start her up get her warm.
Turn her off let her settle.
Re-check the level (dip screwed tight in, bike upright). Still no sign of oil on the dip.
Whats going on here? Whats happening to my oil - is she that thirsty?
And no -before you ask - there is no black puddle underneath.
Perhaps my dip is to short (no pun intended).
Anyone able to measure the length of their dip and tell me how long it should be? God that sounds awful - I´ll expect rude answers!
