I have a ´95 Sprint that consistently gets about 40MPG. I am always running gas cleaner through it, or Marvel Mystery Oil in the fuel, which is great. I also run it on Mobil One European Blend sythetic oil too, which seems to help all the way around. I live in Columbus Ohio,USA and ride to and from work for about half of the year, weather permitting. I ride about 11K miles each year. The Sprint is a great bike, a real sleeper that performs better than I ever expected. I love it. I took it on a couple of trips last summer and the only thing hurt was my rear-end from sitting for 400 mile days. Good acceleration at freeway speed, smooth performance, sweet sound, and plenty of looks from old bikers that all used to have Triumphs in the 60´s and 70´s. I have the hard bags and the fairing with the higher windshield. It really helps summer or winter with wind, cold, rocks, and generally not getting beat to death by the gusts at speed. A full face helmet also aids tremendously too. I bought a ballistic nylon bike jacket to wear for protection on those hot summer days riding on the freeway. It gets a bit scratchy but is definitely worth the hassle in terms of protection, along with leather chaps. Hope you´re having fun too.
