I am working up a motor vehicle accident case where the rider of a 1995 Vulcan Kawasaki MC, traveling 20-25 mph states he was not able to stop his MC in time when a car pulled out approx 100 feet ahead of him. He states he had to lay the bike down. Of note, the Owner of the Kawasaki was 5´10" and over 300 lbs. Might that have been a factor? As he lay the MC down, he states the windshilded went into his neck and injured his throat. Also scraped left thigh. I would be interested in discussing probablities with someone who has experience riding this kind of vehicle? Research so far would indicate that this is a fairly substantial bike and would be able to stop easily at 20 mph. Could use some expert input on this case. Thank you.
