hi,im a new member to this group & im hoping that someone out there will share their knowledge of this machine with me.i bought my 1995 klx650 about 2yrs ago as a stolen/recovered project.it has been fitted with an aftermarket ignition switch and i believe that original ignition switches have been discontinued.the original switch has a diode fitted that immobilised the bike & without this the bike will not spark.i read somewhere that this is relatively easy to bypass, can anyone enlighten me? i recently borrowed a switch off a friends 1995 klx & it fired up straight away, first time it has started since i have owned it.i dont wany to risk trial & error as it could cost me a cdi.any advice would be greatly appreciated.
