Hi group, very excited to have bought an RD250 1973 wish it was a 6 speed but as you know, it´s hard to buy one. Anyway, I have to ship it to my house from NJ and I know in advance that the carbs need to cleaned out, and new tires installed. I also read on another site to swap out the battery cables, and change to an electronic ignition but I saw some prices of 600.00 at WCV cycles I think that´s the name. Can anyone offer help on some or all of these issues? Thanks so much, the bike is not showroom but not a beater (I hope) Lastly, would you go ahead, and rebuild the oil pump and finally, any tips on creased gas tank repairs? Thank you again in advance, I raced YZ80´s as a kid so I´m pretty excited, to be on a two-stroke bike.
