Sound like starter. if it clicks with a good battery. If the bat keeps going dead check the voltage regulator/rectifier, (Not charging)use a voltmeter at battery while running should be around 14.3 volts. less replace regulator about 130. Do a good job use dielectric grease between heatsink and new module. also check wires, they melt together inconspicuously. the regulator/rectifier is on rt tail under fairing. good luck
