Duel coil wiring

I´ve got a stock 72 sporty but now with duel plug heads. I´ve added a second Powerband coil but I´ve heard two different ways to wire it. Do you simply jumper accross the IGN and 12V terminals to the second coil or like another guy has told me, you ground one post on one coil and jump accros only the Ign. wire? Also, do you run one coil for one cyl. or split up the plug wires running one wire to each cyl. from ea. coil?
