I own a 2007 TGB R9. I love the scooter! Fabulous! I commute 15 miles (one way) per day - 4 miles of the commute at 60 MPH. The only problem I have had was, out of the blue a year ago My scooter was flooding out while it was sitting/stored over night. When I started it it would sputter and smoke (black). One time the combustion chamber was so full of fuel it could not turn over. I hand cranked the engine backwards to free up the fluid from the chamber then it sputteres to life. The problem was debris in the carburetor and in the vacuum shut-off valve - needle would not seatand with debris the vacuum shut off was allowing gas through when not running. Even after cleaning the carb and valve shut-offthe problem reoccurred. THEN I realized the main problem. The fuel filter was located between the vacuum shut-off and the carb, so un filtered fuel was running through the Vacuum valve. I bought a second fuel filter, installed it between the gas tank and the vacuum shut-off and, Wah-la, problem solved!!
