I also owned one of these widowmakers. It was the fastest thing I had ever ridden or driven. The accelleration was tremendous. My future wife and I were nearly wrecked when some jerk-off pulled a U turn in front of us from a parked position. Of course the fact I had just left a stop sign (while burying the handle bars in my waist to keep the front end down) probly did not help the situation. I ended up selling her to a buddy - with the stipulation if he ever wanted to sell it I would buy it back. I bought her wedding ring with the proceeds and she rewarded me on our 25th Anniversary with a Honda ST1300. While it is a great crusier for a middle aged guy and quite fast in it´s own right it will never replace the H@ in my heart. Keep the dirty side down. Reproman |
