Put on your hat and goggles put some boots upon your feet
and I´ll take you for a tour on a legend of the street
aboard my old commando, performance is her game,
for on the tour or GP track she won her share of fame
But you don´t start it with a button you got to mean it when you
kick the cam chain makes a whiney sound the gearbox just a click

When you´re parting city of traffic she behaves so pert and calm
but when you open up the throttle valves you best be hanging on
she will make her mark on broadway with her Dunlop rubber tire annd rattle all the windows from the pavement to the spire
whether tearing up the highway with a hundred on the clock
or puttin´ down a country road she´s steady as a rock.

So I thank you Mister Hopwood for your patience with your brain
and the heritage you left us in the Dominator name
and I thank you Mister Trigg and I thank you Mister Hooper
for the isolastic frame that has made this ride a super
She got Amal carburetters and Joe lucas sparks the points
She´s leaking twenty fifty weight from every pipe and joint

So you can keep your Hogs a Beemers your Vinnies and your Broughs
Laverdas and Ducaties are not tempting to me now
and if you think I crave a cycle from an oriential nation
you´re muddling reality with your imagination
I want that basic Brit construction that´s both simple and robust
and I want isolastic dampers for a ride that´s marvelous
