Put on your hat and goggles put some boots upon your feet
and I´ll take you for a tour on a legend of the street
upon my old command performance is her game
for on the tour or GP track she won her share of fame
you don´t start it with a button You got to mean it when you kick
the camshaft makes a whiney sound the gearbox just a click

when you´re parting city trafic she behaves so pert and calm
till you open up the throttle valves then you best be hanging on
she´ll make her mark on broadway with her dunlop rubber tire and rattle all the windows from the pavement to the spire

So I thankyou mister Hopwood for your patience with your brain
and the heritaged you left us in the dominator name
and I thank you mister Trigg and I thank you mister Hooper
for the isolastic frame that has made this ride a super.

So you can keep your hogs and beemers your vinnies and your broughs
Laverdas and ducatis are not tempting to me now
and if you think I crave a cycle from an oriential nation
then you´re muddling reality with your imagination
I want basic brit construction that´s both simple and robust
and Isolastic dampers for a ride that´s marvelous
