Part of my recent renovation of my FXRT was to repair the Tour Pack. Its shape is beautiful and its utility is simply superb. However, loading the top rack when it´s not full allows the base to split. I´ve used JB Weld on it about four times to date. I think the limit is about 25 pounds, but I probably doubled that on my camping trip out to Sturgis is 2001. Minor metal straps inside on the channels would probably double the allowable weight of the glass trunk, but likely squash the metal supports handging off the T bar. Mine split across the entire metal support, but it´s worth fixing whenever it breaks. Get one when you can.
