Open the inspection covers ~ slowly rotate the crank using the TDC markings on the side of the generator ~ jiggle each valve follower and see if one is overly loose or tight ,, but remember a big (or no gap) could caused be any number of things ,, chack the levels of each tappit ajuster screw , they should be the same (ish) if you realy suspect a stuck valve , its off with the head i am afraid,, no big deal , get a new top set of gaskits before you begin , once off , flip the head upside down and pour parafin , diesel or if you are mad petrol into each crown recess and see if it leaks out around the valve seat ...
