Hey how´s it going lately? Sounds like you have made tons of progress on your CB! Congrats, and best of luck completing your project. I got my ´71 CB 175 in a local classifieds paper for 50 bucks. It was stored outside so the tires were dry-rotted, the engine was seized, and the paint on the side covers faded. Unfortunately not all the parts are original. The mufflers are aftermarket, though they are quite conservative as far as noise goes so I am not going to complain much about them. It had no chain, the brakes needed to be freed up and I needed to make a bunch of gaskets for it. So far I have gotten the bike functional - running well and drivable, but not extremely nice looking. You mentioned that you got some parts at a junkyard. The only bike junkyard near me does not carry anything smaller than 250 cc. Would you be able to send me the contact information for the junkyard you bought your parts at? Maybe they could help me out. Please email me at the above address if you have any contacts, the closer to Connecticut, the better. Thanks! -Jim
