I just came across the 1971 XLCH listing and find that the site has finally put my machine in there. It is the red one shown and I have owned it for 31 years now. I had ridden it last in 1983 and parked it at that time in my salt water boatshed. The ol´girl sat there for the following 13 years. I pulled it out in 1996 and it was a mess. Solid rust and corrosion. I began the rebuild at that time in an off and on effort that took me four plus years to complete, which was in the winter of 2000. I am still riding it today (2004) and have 3600 miles on it. It feels like a brand new 1971, as it did when I bought it in 1972. Thanks for the nice comment...WB Perry
