Ihave a 71 650 thunderbolt which has oil in the frame and would really like to get rid of old metal gauze oil filter and replace with a paper/late model style filter. ihave seen a similar after market set up 4 triumph but with could not modify because their oil pick up comes from the bottom of the sump plate not like bsa`s which have it coming out from side of frame therefore the paper filter would interfer with pick up.i have heard maybe there is a conbination filter/air cooler which replaces original sump plate on frame. any infornation would be a help thanks.
