Hey guys. New to this site. Long time Kawasaki 2 stroke street bike lover. Had a 72 H2 back in 78. Purchased a middle class restored 1974 H2 a couple years ago. Not 100% correct but nice enough for the family room and an occasional ride.
Ok, heres the beef. I recently ran across a 1971 A7 Avenger. Got interested and had a look. Most everything is there but the bike is in need of 100% restoration. I don´t want to spend crazy money but think it would be cool to restore this piece. Here´s the questions....Are parts available for these bikes? Don´t want to spend a ton of money to find out key pieces are not available. How hard is it to find say brake parts, cables, seats, emblems, handlebars, good pipes or expansion chambers, fork kits, carb kits, air box, kick starter shaft, rear fender, the hand controls for both sides, clutches, rings, pistons, gasket sets, etc. Those are the parts I could immediately ID as needing work or possible replacement. Look forward to hearing from y´all. And....what would you say this piece is worth with around 15,000 miles and needing restoration. Oh...need a complete assembly manual as well. Thanks for any help.
