I still have the Kawasaki Dealer poster from 1969 showing the take apart view of the 500 3 cylinder engine. Kawasaki claimed 60 horse with 4.5 to 1 compression. I broke my kick starter and it cost an arm and a leg to get a replacemnt from Kawasaki. It was over $125.00 and I wasnt too sure the bike was worth that much. I had a hard time selling it as everyone knew the bike was abused but some lucky person didnĀ“t know me and brought it from me. I had heard later that the crankshaft failed on that bike. He offered it back to me in a basket for $25.00 years later but I foolishly declined the offer
