I have a 71 Commando. A couple of yeras ago I replaced the Amal carbs with a Mikuni system. Now the bike starts on the 1st kick (most times). I am experiencing a problem since installing the Mikuni. Once the engine heats up, the throttle "ticks" and won´t release for a few seconds after releasing. I don´t know if this is a problem with the new carb, or some other problem. If the bike is turned off and allowed to ccol, it is fine again until it heats up. Anybody aware of this problem and perhaps a remedy. I also am looking for an anwer to leaks that have developed in the fiberglas gas tank. Is there any way to fix leaks in a fibergals gas tank? If not, I´ll be looking for a replacement.
