Hello ladies and gentlemen, I own a BSA b44 Shooting Star 1967 and still enjoy riding it.
The bike is not standard anymore, and it badly needs a repaint and nickel plating (or -chroming) of some rusty nuts and bolts.
Engine condition is reasonable, it is reliable and has never had a major breakdown. Just getting older and older.
I hope I may join the club (1970 Shooting Star) in spite of my poor little thumper being three years too old.

Projects I am currently working on:

1. I want the bike to run a perfect (nice and slow) tickover without the engine stalling after a while. When I wille be succesfull I will let you know how I did it. Still using the Amal concentric. Recently discoved I was using two pilot jets..

2. In spite of 5 bonded plates, the clutch still slips. Fitted Tiger Cub springs, they will be set a little tichter next time.

3. I want to repaint the fuel tank and badly need the right color code for this beautifull, warm red color...
