I have recently installed a new clutch in my 1970 bsa lightning. The clutch cable operates freely when not attached. When attached and all adjusted and connected it is difficult to depress the lever. It even gets harder when the clutch cable is moved to the center of the tank support with the tank off. Does anyone out there have an idea as to what is going on here? Do I need a new clutch cable or is there something else internally that would make the lever so hard to depress. My springs on the plates are adjusted correctly. The clutch engages and disengages the way it is supposed to, The only problem is the stiffness in depressing the lever. Thanks to whomever can help me. David
