Recently,I paid $1500 for a 1970 Commando basketcase. Most of the parts were there(many brand new)and with the help of a friend(mostly him),put the bike together.Have had a few technical issues:Installed Boyer.Thought the engine was running lean(header pipes turned blue),but plugs fouled out.Changed mainjets from 250´s to 230´s.Right side still black. Not sure if safe to go to 210´s(factory manual spec). Also, clutch cable has nasty habit of losing tension. Clutch adjuster locknut(left side primary)is not loosening up.Anyone know what the cure is? Thanks, regards.
