I once owned a 1968 Puch 250. this is not a single cyclinder engine. It is a two cyclinder, two piston engine. One cycliner is in front of the other cyclinder, not side by side as is suggested by the fact that the exhaust pipe come on symmetrically on each sid. The pistons are connected to the crank shaft with a very unusual connecting rod arrangement.
