Oilpump removal |

Hi! I´ve got a SGS -50 something project that is fairly complete but has some problems with the oilpump for the 2-strokeoil. Although adjusted according to manual, the pump keeps pumping way too much oil and floods the carburator. As I cant be sure of the pumps function I would like to remove it completely and add the 2-strokeoil to the fuel instead. My question is: Is there any danger in removing the pump? A friend said that some modern 2-stroke motors use this pump the lubricate other bearings inside the motor? Is this the case in this old motor? Thanks, Mattias mattias.becker@glocalnet.net |
