As mentioned above in title, it´s a very beautiful machine but has also some negative points, at least mine of ´98.
It´s a lot of instable (the front seems to want to fall to the inside when turning).
My engine is being rebuilt (the second time in 4 years) due to the same ever problem with the transmission. The variator plate get´s loosen eventhough its nut being well tight. As a result, the cranckshafts´teeth get severely damaged. Open the little engine and refit a new cranckshaft seems to do the trick for a year or so, 600 Euros per year is the price to pay for living Piaggio´s motto: something about mobility...
Seems to be an isolated problem, I haven´t heard of any other owner which lived the same nor any dealer or mechanic mentioned it. But I couldn´t live to it without ever saying a word, just as I mentioned to Piaggio Portugal but they didn´t seem to care that much...
