I have a 1999 Black Bandit S (deep metalflake blue, actually). With about 7000 miles on it, it is just getting broken in. One can always add aftermarket improvements (I will, soon), but this is one of the nicest packages I´ve seen out there, stock. Comfortable seating, adequate suspension for one-up, subtle brutish handsomeness, and more power than you will usually be able to use (but with LOTS of serious aftermarket horsepower potential). This bike is a winner, destined to be an enduring icon of Suzuki brilliance well into the future. This winter, I am going stage 2, and giving the beast a couple of cosmetic touches. That´ll do for a year or two. Models from 1998-2000 have the square headlight (not the Japanese cartoon-like cross-eyed dual beam thing of 2001 and forward). Find one of these with low miles and start negotiating. You´ll thank me.
