Greetings! I purchased my ´98 Speed Triple last week and so far have been enjoying it tremendously. My Speed is Roulette green and is equipped with the following Triumph accessories: High-mount carbon fiber race exhaust, fly screen, radiator cladding, solo cowling, chain guard, carbon fiber on instruments and behind fly screen, luggage rack/hand hold (not installed), etc. My S3 was purchased w/just 8.6k miles and is in like-new condition except for three eraser-size chips on the top right side the fuel tank. I picked it up for under $3k from a seller on Craiglist who has purchased an ´05 S3. All my S3 needed are replacements for (what I believe to be) the original tires! I request your input with regard to following questions/issues: 1) Has anyone had experience with a SW-Motech center stand for their Speed? Since mine lacks a center stand and I also don´t have a race stand I´m in the process of trying to decide which one to invest in. Although I realize a center stand will add weight and may compromise lean angles, since I´m likely to take multi-day rides at least a few times a year the addition of a center stand would make on-road drive chain maintenance a lot simpler to deal with. So far I´ve only been able to locate one US vendor advertising the SW-Motech center stand for the S3 (twistedthrottle.com).
