I purchased my "98 Exec.fron the first owner in 2000 so I have ridden it for two summers now. Time does not allow me to ride more than a couple thousand miles each summer but so far I am impressed with the comfort of the exec. I replaced the stock seat with the Trophy seat. Added fork protectors, front fender extension, tinted Rifle touring screen(came with the bike) a Triumph luggage rack and D&D slipons. The D&Ds appear to add some power, particularly atlow end and really accentuate the triple sound...but be aware that they are LOUD! The biggest problem is that there are not enough goodies that I am aware of to add custom touches to the bike. If I keep it I intend to add a Givi 46L top luggage as the BRG color matched Triumph piece is $500.00, the Givi about $200.00. Also,Irarely see other Sprint Execs. on the road...or anywhere for that matter. Did anyone else buy this bike or am I the only one out here with one? Does anybody have an idea as to how many were sold in the US? I am considering selling mine in the spring to buy a Sprint ST,VFR,or BMW R1100RT and am concerned about comparative comfort as my wife has just started to ride with me so comfort for touring has become an issue. Anyone have any comments about this? In general I am satisified with the Exec.but I am torn as to go with a newer generation bike or continue to attempt to refine this one for more sport touring. Suggestions are appreciated. |
