Hi I was wandering if there is any possible way to increase the gearing of the Intruder. The only two ways that I can see is to; a) fit a larger rear wheel b) fit a sixth gear or increase the gearing of the fifth The reason I want increase the gearing is that the bike has good torque which I feel could be utilized better by dropping the revs at cruising speed. I´m told the five speeds do 3000 rpm at 100 kph but the VN 1500 does 2200 will the higher revs of the Intruder reduce its engine lifespan. |
