The needs you specified look like "Suzuki DR 350 marketing team made". So my proposal would be to buy: light weight medium height rider=engine powerful enough; first bike=easy control, acceptable weight; streetuse:offroaduse=2:1; el starter. I have dr350 and it is my 1st bike. The only problem: After longer period of standing (a week) it is difficult to start (?light components of fuel in carburator have evaporated?). Solution: When you are going to use it after a week or later, turn the fuel tap off and leave the engine going until the carb is dry. Then there is no problem even after long period of standing.
