Recently bought 2014 Yamaha ttr125LE with a won´t start issue. Scott Spark It´s got fuel Fire and Air but it feels like there´s no compression in it I mean it is super easy to kick as if it had none. Did a compression test on it kicking it until it stopped which was only at about 30 PSI the wet compression test on it went up to 90. Unless I´m wrong I believe that means bad piston rings? Not sure I´m up for that one. I´m a decent mechanic I want to get them to tear down stuff I always get nervous. Was thinking of upgrading while I had it apart to the 150cc Big Bore. Any comments or advice on that? I´d like to get a little more power out of it but as I´ve never even ridden it not sure if it´s the best idea. Also. The carb on this thing is common 2 problems with the Jets I understand. And I´m not crazy about the duel throttle body. And the choke seems to have problems though I think I´ve straightened it out with a little PB Blaster penetrating oil. We´ll see if it works right when I get it back together. Hope I didn´t bite off more than I can chew and I hope this bikes worth it. Definitely got a sweet deal on it hopefully it won´t turn bitter. So finally I just like to ask for advice or recommendations on performance mods or any other tips that might be helpful. Like buying it from me.
