I did a very silly thing -had the cover off inspecting the condition of the front sprocket. Having cleaned off the chain-flung gungeand detemined that thesprocket was serviceable, I reassembled but put the spacer that should be for the front bolt of the hydraulic unit on to the push rod for the clutch release. When I tightened up the bolts, the spacer popped out the rubber seal for the push rod allowing the engine oil to escape -ugh, I was weary at the time. ? IS THIS A COMPLETE ENGINE SPLIT AND STRIP ? or can it be repaired more easily. My lovely ´03 V-Strom DL1000 is caput at the minute.
