I let my brother go for another ride yesterday. We adjusted the rear spring preload done three full turns, and then he could touch the balls of his feet to the ground, not just his tip toes. There are five marks on the shock, the adjustment lowered it about one mark, it can go down one more. I asked him his inseam size, he says it´s 30 in.´s, probably his Levi dimensions. Other then that, he likes the lighter, lower placed weight. The footpegs are plenty high for him while riding, for me, I wish they´d be a little lower. He rides a ´85(?) Suzuki 1150GS, with a lowering kit on it. My old bike was a ´83 KZ750 Kawasaki twin, the book says the 750 ways 20 lbs. more, but the DL1000 feels alot lighter than that.
