Hi! I actually am not new in this discussion box, while two years ago I already wrote in some things about my California. As I understand, the box has been renewed, so I am sort of proud to open it this time. Two years ago, I was answered by Rich Richer, who gave me some good ideas. Hello Rich, if you are still there! I was really glad to hear from you so much good things about California. I must say, that after 10.000 kilometers, I share your enthusiasm! Before I say more, please let me tell few things about me. I am 57 years old, live in small country in Europe, named Slovenia. Never heard of it, what? Never mind. It is a beautiful country, that is important. Five years ago I bought me my California, second hand, 22.000 kilometers. It is a bike of my imagines. Only, it uses too much. 8 litres per 100 kilometers. My service man finally found out, that the central electronic unit installed, is not of California, but of Breva. Can anybody discuss it with me? Do you suppose, that the first owner installed it, because he wanted the bike to go more powerful? And never minded the increased consumption? The bike accelerates very good, which makes me happy. I actually do not mind 2 litres per 100 km more, only if I knew the reason. Can anybody give me the e-mail adress of Dave Richardson, the author of Guzziology (Rich had informed me of him. I found his recent discussion on hydraulic valves on net - thanks God my California is 1998 and too old to have hydraulics!)? If I had his e-mail, I would ask him to comment my question. Thank you all for reading this message and enyoy your Californias! |
