fantastic bike, here is my recipe to start on the 3rd kick ALWAYS. 1. ignition on (no need for battery) 2. engine run on 3. 1/2 choke 4. bring kickstart to turn engine ot TDC (top dead centre) when it is hardest to move engine. 5. bring in decompression lever in 6. SLOWLY kick a little bit 10 cms (you can even do this by hand) 7. release the de-compression lever (this should have returned by itself) 8. make sure the kickstart lever has come up all the way - and KICK through 9. repeat steps 5 - 8 10. turn off the choke 11. kickstart the engine until it is HARD again 12. decompression lever in 13. SLOWLY move the kickstart lever again 14. release the decompression lever, bring kickstart all the way UP 15. KICK!, warm up , enjoy :) For me , if any of teh above is done wrong, I am sitting there for a very long time! Let me know how you go. Regards, Akiko. |
