spark issues said 2012-11-14 11:45 |
Weak spark is a common Derbi issue, what you need to do first is test the ohm´s on the stator and compare them to the following specifications. but before you do all that check the following 1). remove the fly wheel and look for dirt built up o nthe inside of the magnito (magnetic flywheel)if its dirty clean it and try for spark again. 2). check all the wire connections, many times greeen or white corrosion has built up on them and is causing the weak spark. if neither works out then go from there. if the stator is bad you can assume the cdi coil is bad or on the way out too, I would suggest going to a Doppler/MVT ignition with lighting coil. They are better quality and will give your senda a much need boost. Leonelli stator (ou can identifty the bran by the name on the CDI and that the leonelli stator has 4 poles) GREEN to EARTH = 820 ohms + 10% (CDI charging coil) GREEN to WHITE = 700 ohms + 10% RED to EARTH = 140 ohms + 10% (Ignition pick up coil) RED to WHITE = 100 ohms + 10% YELLOW to EARTH = 0.7 ohm + 10% Ducati Stator GREEN to EARTH = 820 ohms + 10% (CDI charging coil) GREEN to WHITE = 700 ohms + 10% RED to EARTH = 140 ohms + 10% (Ignition pick up coil) RED to WHITE = 100 ohms + 10% YELLOW to EARTH = 0.7 ohm + 10% |
