New guy to the R1200RT

Just bought a brand new second hand 2008 R1200RT. Loving it so far. This is the 5th bike I´ve owned (BSA, Triumph, Honda and lastly 2008 Honda Shadow Aero. The Honda Shadow was a really good bike and didn´t owe me a thing. I must say the R1200RT is dreamy. It handles so well and so smooth, peppy too. I keep banging my shins on the faring and foot pegs. I was wondering if anyone ever padded the curve part of the faring?
