Yes it has a 12v battery. It´s located in the floor compartment. Unscrew the panel with a phillips screw driver and it´ll be in there. I´m actually on my way to Walmart to buy my Fiancee´s Triton one. They have them there for the best price. Let me know of anything else you need. Bruce
